About this site

Electrician Chelmsford is an independent enquiry service for electrical work in the City of Chelmsford, published by SEO Dons Ltd. It is a publisher, not an electrician: it does not carry out electrical work, employ electricians or hold any trade registration, and it does not display reviews or accreditations it cannot show.

What the site does

It explains the electrical jobs Chelmsford homes, landlords and businesses ask about most, with the rules and local figures each page relies on, and it takes enquiries through one short form. Enquiries are read by the publisher and answered by email.

Where the facts come from

Figures and rules are taken from primary sources: legislation.gov.uk, gov.uk, the Office for National Statistics, the Valuation Office Agency, Chelmsford City Council and the Health and Safety Executive. Each page names its sources and the date they were last checked.

Checking an electrician

Whoever you hire, ask which competent person scheme they belong to and check the registration on that scheme's own register, and ask for the certificate when the work is finished.
